Welcome

Hello!  Some changes have been made recently, so here's what's going on...

First, a quick reminder: we are not a business. The tree houses were built in our backyard for our daughters and our family. Over the years, we have simply enjoyed sharing them with others.

Many of you have been asking what happened to the tree houses and whether we are open again, so I wanted to share an update. (If you don't care, fast forward to "**********")

When COVID arrived, life changed dramatically for our family. Around the same time, I was diagnosed with congestive heart failure, which forced me to slow down and rethink many of the activities that had always been part of my life. Not long afterward, my mother was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer. During those years, my time and energy were focused on family, caregiving, and managing my health.

As a result, the tree houses have been mostly closed to visitors.

********************************

The good news is that we are beginning to welcome guests again —but in a different way than before.

Rather than hosting large crowds, we are creating a more personal experience. Visits will be by appointment only, weather permitting, and we will generally limit attendance to a few families at a time. This helps us protect the tree houses, maintain a safe environment, and balance visits with our family life.

Think of the tree houses as a hidden gem rather than a public attraction.

If you would like to visit, we are trying something a little old-fashioned and fun:

Send us a postcard or letter!

Our Address is:

4677 Lakeville Groveland Road
Geneseo, New York 14454

Include:
• Your name
• Number of people attending
• Several possible dates and times that work for your family
• Your email address
• Your phone number

We'll contact you by email if we are able to schedule a visit.

A few important things to know:

• Visits are by appointment only.
• We generally schedule visits on weekends.
• We are usually open from late June through September, when the trees are fully leafed out.
• Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
• There is no admission fee.
• We do not allow drop-in visits.

Please remember that the tree houses are located at our family home. We enjoy meeting visitors, sharing the trees, and making new friends, but we also treasure our family time.

Some families build a swing set in their backyard. We built a collection of tree houses.

Thank you for your patience, your support, and your continued interest over the years. We look forward to welcoming a few new adventurers into the trees.

— Joe, Heather, and Family

Thank you for coming to the Tree Creations website!  Please note, this is our home, not a business.  We have something special here that is too neat to keep to ourselves, and we like sharing.
